    Monkey on your Back
    singe atalante

Once upon a time there was Olivier and Maya, modern versions of Hansel and Gretel, lost in the haunted wood of Junk. The house of the psychotic giant is called Heroin, an inescapable labyrinth of pain. One man alone dares to follow the children in : a brave Superintendant-woodcutter, standing alone against drug-laden ghosts, trying to protect the two lost children in spite of themselves. For the giant has already licked the bones of... seven little junkies.

Stéphanie Benson is English, she writes in French and lives in the south-west of France. After the success of her first book A Bat in the Attic she now goes even further with this modern-day fairy story of bereavement and anger to reveal her powerful and terrible vision of contemporary Noir fiction.
